Footprinted Soil Texture

A procedurally generated tileable texture of footprints in dry soil with pebbles and pine needles.

In the last few days I've worked on a new prodedurally generated texture.

Substance Designer is a useful tool to invent textures without using photos of real surfaces. Procedural noise functions can be used and combined to generate random, organic patterns that can be used for heightmaps, colors and other details. The software offers enough flexibility to control the look of the patterns in detail without predefining any fixed shape. For example, a smoothed "Dirt" noise can be used as pebbles like the small white ones in the soil texture above.
